This provides our contact details if ever required. A 10″x12″ card mounted copy photoprint of /george Best signing “El Beatle”. This one is in outstanding condition and has never been on display, it has been stored away. For display only a copy of “George Best a Celebration” and the front of an Abbey Rd Beatles song sheet. “George Best a Celebration” it tells the full life journey of George Best through memorabiluia connected with him and peoples stories of their items. There are 83 stories in the book. Story 12 pages 57-63 is entitled Four Fab musicians and a fab Footballer. Page 58 in the book is devoted to a full page of Stewart Becketts “El Beatle”. Like The Beatles being World Famous, Lisbon 1966 was when, overnight, George Best became World Famous by scoring two goals against Benfica winning 5-1 in a European Cup tie. Previous to this Benfica in Portugal had not lost a game at home in a very long time. George Best made Sports Headlines across the Globe the next day The Portuguese press called him El Beatle. With both the Beatles and George Best being two of the main driving forces for cultural changes in the UK and Globally. In the Swinging 60’s was very often referred to as the fifth Beatle. Amazingly they never met all together so no photo’s exist. This is part of a large private collection owned by the co-author of the book `George Best A Celebration`.
